Taking inspiration from the synchronous movements of Lake Michigan, there is a calmness that surrounds this bed frame. Utilizing a molded plywood process, the repetitive ripple travels the perimeter with a rhythmic continuity. Focusing on the connection between the side rails, headboard, and footboard, I can evenly distribute the weight with the assistance of solid wood legs. Using a section of the footboard and side rail in a 1:1 scale, I can visualize the silhouette of the continuous arcs as they meet in the corner with the leg and standard connecting hardware.
